Restylane® Contour has been shown to maintain in effect for up to 12 months.
What are the side effects of Restylane® Contour?
In the study of Restylane® Contour to restore volume of the midface and increase fullness of the cheeks, most patients reported the following side effects at the site where they received the injection: swelling, lumps/bump formation, redness, pain/tenderness, bruising, itching.
For most patients, these temporary reactions occurred immediately up to two days after the injection, were mild, and disappeared within 1-2 weeks.

Are there any reasons why I should not receive this filler?
Do not use these products if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), or if you are allergic to lidocaine or Gram-positive bacterial proteins used in these products.
What precautions should my doctor advise me about?
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The safety of these products during pregnancy or while breastfeeding has not been studied.
- Tell your doctor if you have a history of excessive scarring or pigmentation disorders.
- Tell your doctor if you are planning other laser treatments or a chemical peel, as there is a possible risk of inflammation at the treatment site if these procedures are performed after treatment.
- Minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment.
